PRECISION MUNITIONS.
SIM-X bullet technology accomplishes what was before thought to be unattainable–ammo penetration control regardless of velocity. Using our proprietary SUBMASS™ bullet core materials, combined with ultra-high speed and energy, we have achieved terminal bullet performance that is controlled and predictable shot to shot.
PENETRATION DEPTH CONTROL
SIM-X DutyCore™ ammunition incorporates our proprietary kinetic-ceramic core. This solid medium behaves as a non-Newtonian fluid in that it acts differently depending on the amount of force applied. Our ability to blend this substance, matched specifically to the desired penetration and upset level, allows us to design projectiles that will penetrate to equal depth, even with higher muzzle velocity.
ENERGY TRANSFER
When a bullet hits its mark, the only way for the bullet to expend all of its kinetic energy in the target is to penetrate the object, expand and come to rest without exiting the far side. SIM-X high-velocity, SubMass™ technology accomplishes this using our proprietary core which can be tailored to the desired penetration, regardless of speed. 100% of the energy is therefore transferred into the target when the bullet penetrates it, resulting in stopping power that quickly eliminates the threat.
PERMANENT WOUND CAVITY
Permanent vs. temporary wound cavities. An ammo cartridge's capacity to stop a threat is an important consideration dependent on several factors. Among these is the wound cavity that the bullet creates in soft tissue. With traditional pistol cartridges, only the actual capability of the bullet shape to expand and its consequent outside diameter contribute to the wound cavity in soft tissue. For the temporary cavity to be larger and more permanent, a bullet must be traveling at a much greater rate than traditional pistol bullets. SIM-X SubMass™ technology with velocities twice that with traditional pistol rounds create permanent wound cavities. The result equals threat elimination.
